I've been on the other side of the table. Now I sit on yours.
For fifteen years I worked inside Pakistan's construction industry. I know how a rate is built, where margins sit, and how a bill grows, because I've seen it from the inside. Big developers never build without someone like that on their side. The people who build the most never build alone. Why would you, building once?
Profit, yes. Profiteering, no.
We're not against contractors. Good ones deserve a fair profit for their skill, their risk and their time.
Fair profit
Comes from the work. It's visible, it holds up to questions, and an honest contractor will show you how he got there.
Profiteering
Comes from you not knowing better. It hides in vague scopes, "or equivalent", and quantities nobody measured.
We'll tell you when you're being overcharged, and when you're not. Sometimes the best advice is "this quote is fair, take it."
A fair price is only half of it.
The other half is getting what you paid for: the brand, the steel grade, the finish and the supervision that were agreed. We check that too.

What does a construction consultant do?
We give you an independent opinion on decisions about your house: plots, designs, contracts, rates, materials and work on site. We don't build, design or sell anything, so our only stake is in your project's success.
How much does a consultation cost?

Can you help if I'm building from abroad?
Yes. Our Remote Audit works from photos and video you or your contractor send, with a written report within 48 hours.
Are you against contractors?
No. Good contractors deserve a fair profit, and we often tell clients a quote is reasonable. We step in only where the price depends on the client not knowing better.
Do you still run a construction company?
No. Hamd ran one for years; it is dormant. The Building Consultants doesn't take contracts, sell materials, or take commissions from anyone you hire.
